Dog Transport Volunteer
Over the weekends, GSPs are often being transported from a shelter, another rescue or owner surrender to a designated foster family. A GSP transport range from a few hundred miles to over 1,000 miles. The transport is broken down into segments which are typically 50-75 miles. The WGSPR transport coordinator will work with the dog transport volunteer team to plan the routes. This is a perfect opportunity for those that want to help, have time on weekends, and cannot commit to fostering.
Qualifications: Must have a valid drivers license, reliable vehicle (private transport), experience with GSPs, and possess the ability to lift at least 30#'s safely and comfortably, reach, bend, kneel, and stand.
