• Cinder - Available for Adoption

  • 11/2/18:
Hi everyone, it’s Cinder! It has been a long time so my foster mom said I needed to let everyone know how I am doing 😊 I am doing very well with my foster family. They are treating me like one of their own, but I would really like to find my very own family to love and spoil me! I have a few important requests, first, no other pets. I really would prefer to be the only one for my family to love. I need to have a nice big yard, preferably with a fence for me to run off some of my energy and to play catch! When you first meet me, you might think I am a little loud and obnoxious, but that is just me. I am told that for a cute, adorable girl I have the bark of a crabby old man. Oh well, I get my point across. I like to announce when I hear a car come into the yard or I hear the door open or maybe even a noise I am not use to. Did I say I like to bark? I really try to be quiet but I like to talk, what can I say? I LOVE LOVE my foster mom and sister, don’t get me wrong, I love my foster dad and brother too, but the ladies just seem to understand me better. I also have two foster fur-brothers that I love too, but again, boys, YUCK! I love them too, but we do not always see eye to eye. You see, I am a little fond of my very own toys and bones. I DO NOT like to share these things at all and that gets me into a little bit of trouble with my foster dad. We have tried to play a little bit with toys but they soon get taken away and put into this room that I just cannot get into. I do enjoy having a treat when I am done doing my business outside and I know just where those are kept. My fur-brothers and I all sit in a row until mom calls our name and gives us our treat. I have been told I am a very smart girl. I have never had an accident in the house and I let my mom know when I have to go outside. I bark at her, really loud! Again, with the barking, but like I said earlier, I get my point across. I get the run of the house, along with my brothers. There are sometimes when we are all home that I just like to have some me time. I either go and lay under the bed or in my kennel. Oh, have I told you yet how much I enjoy going for walks and car rides? Don’t get me started, we could be here all day! Have a great day everyone. Love,Cinder 7/10/18: Hi it’s me, Cinder! I just wanted to check in and let everyone know how excited I am to find my new family! My foster parents are very proud of the progress I have made “being good” with my foster brothers. I wasn’t very nice when I first got here, but my foster parents have been working with me. They tell me how good of a girl I am. They do think I might be best in a family where I am an only pet. I’m a snuggler and I LOVE LOVE to give kisses ️ Love and Kisses, Cinder 6/29/18 Hi I’m Cinder, that’s short for Cinderella!!! I have recovered from my surgery very well, I go to the doctor tomorrow to have my stitches removed and the doc is going to check my ear again to see how it’s doing also. My foster parents say that I’m a very good girl!! I love to play, A LOT, and I’ve learned how to play appropriately with my foster brothers(mostly the one my age). I don’t do well sharing toys tho, my foster parents have completely restricted toys. I resource guard my toys emphatically from my foster brothers, but remove the toys and I’m an absolute joy, and we PLAY PLAY PLAY!!!!! I have no issues with eating in proximity to my foster brothers, or getting treats at treat time with them, my foster parents make us all sit and we take our turn getting our treats!! I am territorial, I bark when people walk in the house, be it strangers or one of my foster family members, or when I see people walk by the house, I do it when I’m outside too. My foster parents don’t like it when I bark cuz I have a very loud, mean sounding bark, but I’m just all bark because once I meet the person I settle down and just want to give kisses!!! But I’m trying not to bark so much, I don’t want my foster parents to get upset with me. I’m very affectionate, I love attention, I love to cuddle, and I love to give kisses!!! I’ll intrude on your personal space to get lovin, give kisses, and of course to cuddle!!!! I can be a little bit stubborn so I need parent(s) that will be consistent and firm with me when need be, but I’m a good listener and I will behave. My foster parents say I would do best in a single dog home, but my furever parent(s) have to be ready to play!!! I know my commands, like sit, lay-down, stay, come or here, and I’ll “shake paw” for a treat!!! My foster parents allow me to have “the run of the house” with my foster brothers, I’ve even been left out in the house with them alone for short periods (2-3 hours) and I have never displayed any sort of destructive behavior. I’ve never chewed on anything inappropriate, or that I’m not allowed to chew on, and I have never destroyed anything. Oh, jus so ya know, I don’t like going in my kennel, it takes some coaxing, but I will go in, I just don’t like it, and I haven’t ever attempted to chew out or it or destroy it. I’m happy to say though that anymore my foster parents don’t feel the need to put me in it, even when they leave the house cuz I’m such a good girl!!!! I love to “lounge around” the house usually on the couch, the chase longe, or the ottoman. My favorite places to sleep are either curled up in bed with my foster parents and brothers, or on my foster dad’s comfy recliner, but there are times when I just want to retreat under my foster parents’ bed and sleep there. My foster parents say that I’m a very sweet girl. I have a very loving heart and just want to share my love with whoever will let me in my furever home!!!! XOXOXOX Cinder

    5/29/18:
Cinder went to the vet today and did great! She had some additional vaccinations, had her ears treated and we have a spay surgery scheduled. She is also slowly getting settled into her foster home and getting more comfortable with her foster GSP brothers.

    5/25/18:
Cinder is making her way into WGSPR today. We need to do some veterinarian care on her and work with her on some behavioral issues. Stay tuned for updates on Cinder as we get to know this beautiful girl. We will advise when we feel she is ready for adoption.
