Blue is such a gentle and good dog. He is fantastic with other dogs and kids. He jas no aggressive tendency at all! He is so easy on a leash, the best dog I've ever walked I think. He is responding well to being on a diet and is much less boxy.   Blue isn't the least bit interested in squirrels or birds and on one walk he saw a cat in a out in a yard and stopped for 5 seconds and just started walking again. He doesn't show any prey instincts or pointing. Too much time as a house dog I guess. He's just really a great pet. He doesn't really like toys or playing for very long.

In the last week, I have had a bath and now smell WONDERFUL!   I am great with kids and other dogs.  I am in a foster home with a WGSPR Alum that is an older senior guy and can’t see real well.     I know my basic commands and house trained.  My foster dad says that I am low maintenance.

I am typically very affectionate and have had no bad trigger spots that I don’t like to be touched. My nails got trimmed last week and I am walking much better. I am on a diet as I am overweight and I am adjusting well to it, although I do not like being on a diet. . I do not pull on walks, so I would be appropriate with an older owner. Basically I like to sleep a lot love to lounge in a leather recliner.    I am not aggressive either.

Blue came into rescue with his siblings Scrap Iron Girl and Lil Red over the weekend.  The 3 Pointer Siblings found their way into rescue through Illinois Shorthair Rescue.  They are overflowing with GSPs in need and WGSPR stepped in to assist.   The Pointer Siblings lost their human dad at the end of November and their human mom was not able to give them the care they need and reached out to rescue for help and that is when WGSPR stepped in.

From Blue's foster dad:
Blue gets along great with my GSP Shadow (former WGSPR alum). Blue is a sweetheart and is so far proving to be good on a leash.  We are working on getting him crate trained so he goes in when he needs to and not just when he wants to.  Due to his excess weight, we do have him on a diet and he seems to be fine with it. He does like to be on the couch or my recliner so I'm working on gently breaking that habit. Other than that, he is a great companion dog, the kids love him and he is great with the kids.
